New Report Says, COVID-19 Job Losses will Worsen L.A. Homelessness by 2023

The already devastating homelessness situation will get much worse by 2023 according to new report in Los Angeles as a direct result of COVID-19 job losses.

The pandemic-related unemployment will start a vicious cycle of homelessness. It started slowly at the beginning of 2020, but will triple this year and peak by 2023.

The demographic affected the most by the pandemic in terms of housing are those held by low-wage and underemployed workers in retail stores, restaurants and bars, clerical office jobs, child care, etc.
